On May 7, Project Manager, Whitney Pitkanen, presented at Dialogue Session 1 at the Electric Vehicle Symposium 26 on the topic of "Best Fleet Users, Key Challenges and the Early Business Case for E-Trucks: Finding and Recommendations of the E-Truck Task Force." On May 8, Dr Lawrence Wnuk, Senior Director, gave a Podium Presentation on the topic of “Fuel Cell Transit Buses - Progress in Performance”.  Also on May 8, Fuels Program Manager, Dr. Jasna Tomić and Associate Project Manager, Jean-Baptiste Gallo, presented at the Dialogue with Experts Session 2 on the topic of  “Using Commercial Electric Vehicles for Vehicle-to-Grid.”

California HVIP Deputy Program Manager, David Kantor, highlighted incentives for clean commercial vehicles at the 7th Annual Energy Showcase hosted by San Diego Gas & Electric in San Diego, CA.

May 2-3, 2012
On May 2, Jamie Hall, Policy Director, moderated the panel discussion, "Transportation - Grants/Incentives for Alternative Fuel Vehicles and Infrastructure" at Growing Sustainable Communities, Western Region Conference. Then, on May 3, John Boesel, President and CEO, led a panel discussion, "Preparing Your Community for the Next Generation of Vehicles." The event was held in Sonoma County, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Sonoma Wine Country, Rohnert Park, Calif.

Dr. Jasna Tomić, Fuels Program Manager, spoke at UC California's World Electric Vehicle Cities and Ecosystems on the topic of "Integrating heavy-duty E-trucks into cities" at the JW Marriott in Los Angeles, CA.

CALSTART Senior Vice President, Bill Van Amburg, spoke on behalf of NACFE at the GHG Emissions Conference 2012 in Winnipeg, Canada regarding advanced medium- and heavy-duty technology, as well as alternative fuels and advanced technology.

NAFA Institute and Expo conference was held in St Louis, MO. CALSTART Senior VP, Bill Van Amburg presented on Advanced and Emerging Vehicle Technology. Senior New Fuels Program Manager, Dr Jasna Tomic, and Bill Van Amburg presented the Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Business Plan. Jasna Tomic and Bill Van Amburg presented Alternative Fuel Vehicle Grant Funding.
